Pretty Little Liars fans rejoice! The Perfectionists spinoff has been ordered to series at Freedom.
After a long gestation, Variety confirms that the spinoff has received a 10-episode order at the cable network after ordering a pilot in September.
The pilot, written by Pretty Little Liars showrunner starred Sasha Pieterse and Janel Parrish. Pieterse and Parrish will reprise their roles from the original series in the spinoff. Set in the town of Beacon Heights, a group of three college friends struggle with the stress of being overachievers. After the town’s first murder, each Perfectionist hides behind a secret, a lie and an alibi.
Serving as pilot director was Elizabeth Allen Rosenbaum and Lisa Cochran-Neilan, Leslie Morgenstein, Charlie Craig, and Gina Girolamo served as executive producers.
The new series is based on the novel of the name written by Sara Shepard. Shepard also wrote the book that Pretty Little Liars was based on.
In development since 2014, the project o produced by Alloy Entertainment and Long Lake Media in association with Warner Horizon Scripted Television.
