Another royal wedding is on its way.
It has been an eventful year for the royal family with a new royal baby and a royal wedding. Princess Eugenie, youngest daughter of Sarah Ferguson and Prince Andrew, will marry Jack Brooksbank.
News of the engagement broke in January after Brooksbank popped the question during the couple’s trip to Nicaragua. The Princess said of the engagement at the time, “The light was just a special light I had never seen. I actually said, ‘This is an incredible moment,’ and then he popped the question, which was really surprising even though we’ve been together seven years.”
With about two months to go until the couple’s special day, Eugenie spoke to British Vogue about her upcoming nuptials. The couple will say their ‘I do’s’ on Oct. 12 at St. George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle (same locale Prince Harry and Meghan chose for their wedding).
The princess told the magazine that she’s “not stressed at all,” but did add that it is “very nerve-wracking because you want it to be perfect but then you realize that you’re going to be with the person you love forever and nothing else really matters.”
Eugenie and sister Beatrice also told the magazine about the challenges of being a modern royal, constantly in the public eye, “There is no precedent, there is no protocol,” she said, “we are the first: we are young women trying to build careers and have personal lives, and we’re also princesses and doing all of this in the public eye.”
