Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas are engaged.
The couple was first linked romantically around May when they were spotted spending a lot of time together. 36-year-old Chopra and 25-year-old Jonas walked the red carpet at the Met Gala together. In June, Jonas took Chopra to his cousin’s wedding and that same month the couple flew to India.
Now their relationship and engagement are officially confirmed. Chopra and Jonas officiated their engagement with a traditional ceremony at the actress’ home in Mumbai city. Jonas’ parents arrived in Mumbai earlier this week to take part in the engagement festivities.
Chopra shared photos from the traditional pre-wedding Roka ceremony. The very much in love couple looks beautiful in traditional habits with Jonas wearing a simple white kurta-pajama, and Priyanka wearing a yellow couture salwar with white detailing. “The only way to do this… with Family and God. Thank you all for your wishes and blessings,” Priyanka wrote.
Alongside a picture in which the two stare deep into each other’s eyes, she wrote, “Taken… With all my heart and soul…” Jonas also took to social media and shared the same picture with the caption, “Future Mrs. Jonas. My heart. My love.” The photo also displayed Chopra’s engagement ring, which according to E! News is a cushion cut weighing around 4 carats from Tiffany & Co and is valued at $200,000.
