Fox has officially axed the legal drama after one season.
News of the cancelation comes just after the series’ Season One finale aired on Friday night.
The series followed a legal team who worked at a wrongful conviction firm. It starred Rachelle Lefevre as team leader Madeline Scott, Kelsey Grammar as Gore Bellows, the prosecutor who previously put Madeline away for murder, as well as Vincent Kartheiser, Russell Hornsby, Riley Smith, Clare O’Connor, Francis Guinan, Persia White, Shanesia Davis, Karin Anglin, Caitlin Mehner, Nikki M. James, Meg Thalken, and Grace Fahey.
According to Variety the cancelation was fully expected as the series was Fox’s lowest-rated show for the 2018-19 season, averaging just over 2 million viewers per episode.
Proven Innocent hailed from Danny Strong and Stacy Greenberg.
