Rachel Bilson is returning to Fox as the bride in its wedding night dramedy pilot.
The former O.C. star has been tapped to play the female lead in the tentatively titled pilot Lovestruck. She joins previously cast Andie MacDowell, Richard Roxburgh, Kathleen Turner, Madeline Wise, and Usman Ally.
According to Deadline, the entire first season of the series, inspired by the French series, Quadras, takes place over the course of a single night at a wedding. As viewers get to know the wedding party, they’ll “learn surprising reveals about both their present and past. We’ll see that things aren’t always what they seem and explore the complicated bonds of love, friendship, and family at different stages of life.”
Bilson will play sweet and thoughtful Daisy Valentine, who is described as a “bolt of pure sunshine.”
Bilson is best known for her role as Summer Roberts on the Fox teen soap. She also starred as the lead on The CW’s Hart of Dixie.
