After conquering the world of television with the titular role in The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, Rachel Brosnahan is gearing up for her first major lead role on the big screen. She’s just been cast in the upcoming indie drama I’m Your Woman.
This film tells the story of a woman who decides to leave her home after her husband’s criminal past comes to haunt her. She goes on the run with her child, and forms a strong bond with two unlikely allies along the way.
The creative duo Julia Hart and Jordan Horowitz were in charge of penning the script, and they’ll produce the project through their production company Original Headquarters. They recently wrapped up Disney+ film Stargirl, with Grace VanderWaal in the lead role.
Before joining this project, Rachel Brosnahan was busy filming the Cold War drama Ironbark, alongside Benedict Cumberbatch. She’s also been working on the third season of The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, which should come out later this year.
