Reese Witherspoon is going on her very own book tour!
The Big Little Lies star took to social media to announce that she will embark on a national tour this fall to promote her debut book, Whiskey in a Teacup: What Growing Up in the South Taught Me About Life, Love, and Baking Biscuits.
The Instagram announcement included a four-picture collage of the actress holding up a teacup, with a caption that reads, “Hey y’all! I’m so excited to share that I’m bringing #WhiskeyInATeacup to your city! I’m gonna spill the tea on Southern living: food, beauty, decor, you name it — and I’ll bring a special guest to each stop! So tag your besties and come chat with me!”
The eight-city fall tour kicks off in September in New York and includes stops in Washington DC as well as Southern cities. Entertainment Weekly reports that the book’s publisher, Touchstone, has said that Witherspoon will share personal stories on the tour, revealing how she entertains, decorates her home, and makes holidays special for her family.
“My grandmother Dorothea always said that it was a combination of beauty and strength that made Southern women ‘whiskey in a teacup,’” Witherspoon said in a statement. “We may be delicate and ornamental on the outside, but we’re strong and fiery on the inside. I’m so excited to travel around the country and meet more strong women and share our stories.”
