Reese Witherspoon made a successful transition to television with Big Little Lies and The Morning Show and she’s not going anywhere. The Oscar-winning actress landed her next big TV gig with Amazon Prime’s All-Star, which she’ll also executive produce.

Amazon Prime won a bidding war for this promising half-hour series and gave it a two-season order straight away. The project hails from Witherspoon’s own production company Hello Sunshine, and Crazy Ex-Girlfriend co-creator Aline Brosh McKenna serves as its creator and showrunner.

All-Star will center on a former cheerleader from Daytona Beach who moves to coastal England, to teach cheerleading at a tiny school where she must teach a ragtag group of students how to be All-Stars.

In the official statement announcing her collaboration with Amazon, Witherspoon said this project fulfills Hallo Sunshine’s mission to make women the heroes of their own stories to a younger generation for a long time.

“The idea of watching an American woman coming to share the very American sport of cheerleading to a group of young women in the UK just made me so excited! I love that this show is filled with real heart, deep joy and the power of teamwork,” said the actress.

Witherspoon recently concluded filming the third season of The Morning Show and we’ll soon get to see her in the romantic comedy Your Place or Mine.
