Hulu’s The Mindy Project’s sixth and final season will air next month and fans just got teased about one of the season’s guest stars.
Creator and star Mindy Kaling revealed that Reese Witherspoon will return to the small screen and join her to star on the show. Kaling took to social media to announce the news, posting a picture on Instagram of the Big Little Lies star and herself in a cave.
Kaling captioned the photo, “Our latest #themindyproject guest star is the only woman i would want to trapped in a cave with,” Kaling captioned the photo. “(This is weirdly the second cave we have acted in together!)”
It’s safe to assume that the first cave Kaling is referring to is the one on the set of A Wrinkle in Time adaptation, in which the two co-stared alongside Oprah Winfrey.
Nothing else was revealed about the character or the storyline, so it seems like fans will have to wait for the episode to air to know exactly who Witherspoon’s character is!
The season premieres September 12.
