Renée Zellweger to Star in Netflix Drama “What/If”

Renée Zellweger is heading to television.

The Oscar-winning actress will star in Netflix’s upcoming series What/If. This will be her first-ever TV series regular role.

The straight-to-series anthology helmed by Revenge and Swingtown creator Mike Kelley has been greenlit for 10 episodes. Kelley will serve as showrunner and will pen the series. He will exec produce alongside Melissa Loy, Alex Gartner, Charles Roven, Robert Zemeckis, and Jack Rapke.

Here’s the official description: What/If will explore “the ripple effects of what happens when acceptable people start doing unacceptable things. Each season will tackle a different morality tale inspired by a culturally consequential source material, and the power of a single fateful decision to change the trajectory of an entire life.”

All that is known for now is that Zellweger’s character is named Anne. All other storyline and character details are being kept under wraps.
