E! News reports Richard Simmons is back at his house less than a week after he was hospitalized in California.

A spokesperson for the Los Angeles Police Department confirmed to ET that the fitness guru came home at around 5:30 in the afternoon, and found out “a bunch of paparazzi” outside his house.

“Two LAPD detectives stood by and kept the peace,” the LAPD rep said. “Richard got into his house safely.”

Richard was seen for the first time in three years as he entered his home, covered in a blanket to hide from photographers and was guided by his housekeeper, The Daily Mail reports.

Earlier in the week, Richard’s rep told ABC News that the 68-year-old guru was hospitalized somewhere in California.

“After a few days of battling severe indigestion and discomfort while eating, we agreed it was best for him to seek treatment,” the statement read. “He’s already feeling better and is expected to make a full recovery.”

Richard took to Facebook to thank fans for their support and shared a health update after being away from the public eye for over three years.

“Hello to everyone who has shown concern for me and sent their good wishes. You will never know how much it means to me,” he wrote. “Well by now you know that I’m not ‘missing,’ just a little under the weather. I’m sure I will be feeling good and back home in a couple of days.”

“This has reminded me that when you need help you can’t be afraid to reach out and ask for it. We all think we should always be able to solve our problems all by ourselves and sometimes it’s just bigger than we are,” he continued.

“I reached out and I hope you will too,” he added. “Just knowing you care has already made me feel better. Hope to see you again soon!”

This isn’t the first time that issues surrounding Simmons’ health and well-being have been spinning in recent years. In March 2016, ET exclusively interviewed Simmons over the phone, and he claimed that “no one should be worried about me.”

“I love all the people who worry about me,” he said to ET. “But it was time for me to take some time to be by myself. For the last 40 years I have been traveling, teaching classes, and I had a knee injury, so I had a knee replacement, which was very difficult for me… I have really just been taking it easy, staying at home, working out in my gym and doing the things I haven’t done in a very long time.”

A podcast from Dan Taberski titled Missing Richard Simmons has also become popular as listeners acknowledge Richard’s new private life.

“Richard made a choice. To live a more private life. If he decides to come back, he’ll come back,” his rep previously shared. “People claim that it happened overnight. It really didn’t. We were turning down stuff for years and just kind of quieting down, and when he decides that he wants to come back, that’s when he’ll come back, and when that will be, I have no idea or if he will at all. There really isn’t anything to report.”
