Rihanna’s schedule is so packed right now that it’s no wonder that her new album is taking forever to finish.
The nine-time Grammy-winning artist recently discussed her new music and explained why she’s keeping us waiting for so long.
Rihanna did an in-depth interview with her Ocean’s Eight co-star Sarah Paulson for Interview Magazine and discussed everything from her personal life and business endeavors to new music.
Unfortunately, after Paulson asked her how much longer do we have to wait for her next album, Rihanna didn’t seem to have a clear answer. “It really does suck that it can’t just come out, because I’m working on a really fun one right now. I’m really happy with a lot of the material we have so far, but I am not going to put it out until it’s complete. It makes no sense to rush it, but I want it out,” said the singer.
Rihanna added that she’s “blocked off a solid period of time for the studio next month”, but it’s unclear if the album is coming our way anytime soon.
The 31-year-old singer is currently focusing on her newly-launched luxury fashion label Fenty under LVMH. This collaboration is an important milestone for Rihanna as she’s the first woman of color to lead an LVMH brand.
