Robert De Niro, Shia LaBeouf to Star in “After Exile”

Robert De Niro and Shia LaBeouf have been tapped to star in Joshua Michael Stern’s forthcoming crime tale.

De Niro and LaBeouf have been set as the leads in After Exile, a drama about “the difficult trajectory toward forgiveness and redemption.” Stern is set to direct from a script by Anthony Thorne and Michael Tovo, based on Tovo’s life story.

After Exile follows Mike Delaney (LaBeouf), an ex-con who, after being released from prison for killing an innocent man after a violent robbery, must re-enter his old life with his father (De Niro) in an attempt to save his younger brother from a life of drugs and crime.De Niro will play Ted Delaney, an ex-con who also suffers from alcoholism and guilt.
