Robert Downey Jr. took to Instagram on Tuesday to confirm that Gwyneth Paltrow and Jon Favreau will appear in Avengers: Infinity War.
The actor shared a photo alongside Paltrow and Favreau, writing, “Infinity Trinity … #infinitywar 📸and street cred @jimmy_rich represent @marvelstudios and @therealstanlee.”
Paltrow starred as Stark Industries CEO and Tony Stark’s love interest, Pepper Potts, in all three Iron Man movies and first Avengers. She was absent in Avengers: Age of Ultron and Captain America: Civil War, but appeared for a special cameo in this summer’s Spider-Man: Homecoming. As for Favreau, he played Stark’s bodyguard and friend Happy Hogan since the start of the Iron Man franchise. He also directed Iron Man and Iron Man 2 and appeared in the three standalone movies and had a supporting role in Homecoming, ET reports.
Recently, Downey Jr. has been sharing behind-the-scenes photos from the set of the superhero movie, including some snapshots with Josh Brolin, who plays villain Thanos, and the cast with Marvel legend Stan Lee.
Avengers: Infinity War directed by Anthony and Joe Russo, hits theaters on May 4, 2018.
