After Phil Lord and Chris Miller were let go from directing the new Star Wars movie about Han Solo’s story two days ago, it is now known that the new director will be Ron Howard.

Howard is about to meet with the actors so the project could be continued. Filming will continue July 10.

“I’m beyond grateful to add my voice to the Star Wars Universe after being a fan since 5/25/77,” Howard tweeted.

The upcoming film still doesn’t have an official title, but it has the release date – May 25, 2018.
