“Roseanne” Renewed for Season 11

Looks like the Roseanne reboot is here to stay.

The news that the show has been renewed for another season came after the reboot’s premiere garnered record ratings. The sitcom made its return debut on March 27 and attracted a whopping 18.2 million viewers and a 5.1 rating in the coveted 18-49 demographic.

ABC announced on Friday that Roseanne has been picked up for a second season of its reboot run.

“We’re thrilled that America has welcomed the Conner family back into their homes,” Channing Dungey, president, ABC Entertainment, said in a statement. “The show is as fresh and relevant today as it was when it left the air 21 years ago. We can’t wait to see what the Roseanne team has in store for next year.”

The titular character, Roseanne Barr took to Twitter to share her excitement, pointing out to fans that this means they get to do a Halloween show.

Among those who tuned in was POTUS himself, who even called to congratulate Barr on the show’s successful return. “It was pretty exciting, I’ll tell you that much,” Barr said during a phone interview on Good Morning America. ”It was just very, very sweet of him to congratulate us.”
