Run DMC Sues Walmart, Amazon, and Jet

80s and 90s hip-hop sensation Run DMC is looking to take Amazon, Walmart, and Jet to the cleaners for a cool $50 million dollars.

The rapper, real name Darryl McDaniels, filed the pricey lawsuit on Thursday in New York City. Run DMC claims that the companies used his trademark name without permission to sell a various goods. These products include things such as knock off hats, shirts, wallets, and other various items.

The lawsuit also claims that, by selling these products, that the companies in question have “improperly profited, diluted, and harmed”, the Run DMC name, which is apparently worth more than $100 million dollars.

NBC reached out for comment to Walmart, Amazon, and Jet, but as of now there has been no response given.
