The second season of Russian Doll is currently on its way, and its co-creator and main star Natasha Lyonne is holding out for another one. If her vision for this show comes to fruition, the ground-breaking Netflix series will end after a total of three seasons.
Lyonne discussed the future of this comedy show in a recent interview with Hollywood Reporter and said she still envisions it as a three-season show.
“I know there has to be space left open for something beyond my limited imagination in this moment to know if that is still where the series begins, middles and ends. Maybe it’s only two seasons. Maybe it’s four seasons. Right now, it feels quite clearly that it is those three,” said Lyonne.
The Orange Is the New Black actress created this series alongside Leslye Headland and Amy Poehler, and they’ve received nothing but rave reviews since its premiere in February. Russian Doll will be competing in 11 different categories at this year’s Emmy Awards, including outstanding comedy series and outstanding lead actress in a comedy series.
