The Supreme Court justice will make a cameo appearance in The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part.
85-year-old Ruth Bader Ginsburg is joining to the Lego world. The mini-figure of Ginsburg will not be voiced by Ginsburg herself, but she will give her approval to have her likeness appear in the movie. Director Mike Mitchell reached out to her office to ask permission to use her image. “She said, ‘Of course, I’d love to be a Lego figure. That would be cool,’” Mitchell said.
“These movies are so full of surprises. And we were thinking, ‘Who’s the last person you would think to see in a Lego film as a minifig?’ Ruth Bader Ginsburg!” Mitchell told the USA Today. “And we’re all huge fans. It made us laugh to think of having her enter this world.”
In The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part, two siblings are playing with their LEGO and according to the outlet, Ginsburg will make an appearance as “part of the creative younger sister’s universe.”
The movie is set to hit theaters on February 8.
