The Sons of Anarchy favorite has been tapped star in The Walking Dead.
EW confirms Ryan Hurst has joined the upcoming season of the zombie drama for a recurring role.
Hurst, who’s best known for his role on FX’s Sons of Anarchy, will star in the recurring role of the villainous Beta. According to the outlet, Beta serves as the lieutenant of the Whisperers, a group of survivors who thrive in the apocalypse as they go undetected thanks to the use of suits of walker flesh.
Hurst’s character will play opposite new series regular Samantha Morton who stars as Alpha, the group’s leader.
The Walking Dead returns to AMC on October 7.
