Connie Britton is joining previously announced 9-1-1 cast members Angela Bassett and Peter Krause to play a lead role in the drama series.
The series centers on the high-pressure experiences of police, paramedics and firefighters as they are thrown into shocking situations. It will explore the way these emergency responders try to balance saving those who are at their most vulnerable and solving the problems in their own lives.
The show’s pilot was created, written and executive-produced by Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk. This role reunited Britton with Murphy and Falchuk, as she previously starred in Season 1 of American Horror Story, co-created by the pair as well as American Crime Story Season 1, which the two executive produced.
