Samuel L. Jackson Reveals His 5 Favorite Movie Roles

Samuel L. Jackson is one of his generation’s best and most prolific actors, who starred in more than 100 movies and delivered numerous iconic performances.

While we all have our L. Jackson favorites, it would be certainly interesting to know which roles the 70-year-old actor cherishes the most, right? Well, Jimmy Fallon decided to find that out for us.

Fallon welcomed Samuel L. Jackson in one of the recent episodes of his The Tonight Show and asked him to name his five favorite movie roles. The answer he got might be surprising to some.

According to Jackson, No.5 is reserved for Nick Fury, a character he portrayed in eight Marvel Cinematic Universe movies, while No.4 belongs to all the characters he played in Quentin Tarantino movies (Ordell in Jackie Brown, Jules in Pulp Fiction and Stephen in Django Unchained).

“They’re all cool characters who have their own things going for them and I’d hate to tear them apart,” he told Fallon.

The actor said that the third spot belongs to his Star Wars prequels character Mace Windu, before deciding to jump over the second position and go straight to his favorite role; Mitch Hennesy in 1996’s The Long Kiss Goodnight.

“I love that movie, man. I had such a good time with Geena Davis,” Jackson said.
