Sarah Michelle Geller is set to star and executive produce a new series currently in development at Fox.
Other People’s Houses hails from Eric Charmelo and Nicole Snyder. Should it be picked up to series, the show will mark Gellar’s first TV regular role since 2013’s The Crazy Ones.
The series, based on a novel by Abbi Waxman, is described as a dramedy, “somewhere between Big Little Lies and Catastrophe.” It follows “nine people who live in Los Angeles’ Larchmont Village neighborhood.” The characters “navigate the emotional ups and downs of being parents, partners, neighbors and friends,” per The Hollywood Reporter.
Gellar’s character, a mom and social media influencer, is in the center of all the drama, after having an affair that ignites, well, the drama.
