Bellamy Young has already landed her post-Scandal gig.
The Scandal star has been cast in ABC’s pilot titled False Profits. 48-year-old Young is set to portray Laura, a single mom with two kids who tries to make the best of a bad situation. Tired of being ten steps behind, Laura signs up for a multi-level marketing scheme for selling cosmetics.
The upcoming ABC drama pilot is described as somewhat similar to Desperate Housewives, following women from Arizona’s suburbia, fighting their way to the top of the cosmetic’s world.
Kayla Alpert will pen the script and will serve as executive produce alongside Jason Reed and Sabrina Wind. Paul McGuigan will direct the pilot.
Young currently star on Scandal as POTUS Mellie Grant, which is in its final season. You can see her next in the upcoming Disney film A Wrinkle in Time.
