“Scream” Reboot Moves to VH1 & Gets July Debut

Great news Scream fans!

The series has found a new home at VH1 (its original home was MTV) and is set to return next month. 

The third season of Scream has been in the works for over three years. According to The Hollywood Reporter the six-episode season of Scream: Resurrection will debut July 8, and will run for two hours per night. 

The small screen adaptation of the hit horror film franchise ran for two seasons from June 2015 to October 2016. Season 3 was announced in October 2016 but then in April 2017, it was announced that the show would be rebooting itself with a new cast and a new showrunner, Brett Matthews. 

The third season will also be the first time the original Ghostface mask will be used on television voiced by original star Roger Jackson. 

Scream: Resurrection cast includes Mary J. Blige (The Umbrella Academy), RJ Cyler (Black Lightning), Keke Palmer (Scream Queens), Tyler Posey (Teen Wolf), C.J. Wallace (Notorious), rapper Tyga and Giullian Yao Gioiello (Iron Fist).
