The time between two seasons of our favorite shows often feels like an eternity… but not if the show in question happens to be The Bear! FX did a great job fast-tracking this hit series, and they’ll continue this trend with its rumored Season 4, which is reportedly shooting back-to-back Season 3.

The Bear fans were in a panic mode for the past few days, after several local Chicago outlets reported that Christopher Storer committed to filming additional episodes, hinting that Season 3 would be the show’s last. Deadline was quick to dismiss these rumors and they claim that The Bear is far from reaching its curtain call.

According to Deadline’s recent report, Season 4 of the hit series is already in development and it’s shooting back-to-back with Season 3. This decision mimics FX’s strategy for Atlanta, which ended its run after the third and fourth seasons were shot back-to-back. Despite this connection, Deadline claims The Bear hasn’t been canceled, and Season 5 remains a possibility.

The Bear will return for its third season on FX and Hulu this June. Emmy-winning stars Jeremy Allen White, Ayo Edebiri, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach lead its ensemble, while the supporting cast includes Lionel Boyce, Liza Colón-Zayas, Abby Elliott, and Matty Matheson.
