Season 3 of “Stranger Things” Finally Recieves Premier Date

We’ve spent over a year waiting for a new season of Stranger Things and the wait will finally be over on Independence Day. Netflix announced the premiere date on New Year’s Eve with a cryptic new teaser.

Don’t expect to see any of your favorite characters in this short clip since it features nothing but VHS tape tracking lines, warped audio, and New Year’s Eve countdown video from 1985.

This mysterious visual is simply here to announce “one summer can change everything”, but we’ll have to wait until the 4th of July to learn more.

A new poster for season 3 is a little bit more telling. It shows the Stranger Things kids admiring fireworks – since it’s Independence Day, after all. But not all of them seem to be impressed by the light show above Hawkins. Eleven and Will make it clear the Upside Down is still haunting them by looking back directly in our directions.

We can’t wait to see what powerful force they’re facing right now, when Stranger Things comes back to Netflix on July 4.
