Another Brit Awards ceremony came and went, and The 1975 scored the biggest victory of the night. The band managed to beat the likes of Florence and the Machine and George Ezra to win British album of the year award.

In addition to winning the biggest honor of the night, The 1975 also collected a trophy for the best British group. Frontman of the pop-rock band, Matty Healy used his brief, but impactful speech to address misogyny in music industry.

Calvin Harris was the only act apart from The 1975 to collect two awards at the Brits this year. He received a special achievement for the best British producer of the year and shared the award for best British single of the year with Dua Lipa, who worked with him on the song One Kiss.
