It’s been four years since Selena Gomez dropped her last studio album, and she’s finally done working on its follow-up!
The singer recently made an appearance on Jimmy Fallon’s show to promote her new movie The Dead Don’t Die, but this zombie comedy wasn’t the only thing they’ve discussed.
The popular talk show host also asked her if her next album is coming out anytime soon, and Gomez revealed she’s finally done recording it. Making new music was quite an emotional journey for the former Disney star, and she explained why it took her this long to get it done.
“It’s just because I’ve had such huge moments that happened in my life personally that [it made me wonder] how I was gonna capture that and how was I gonna actually feel good about what I was saying. So I just kept going and I’m relieved now,” said Gomez.
Her second studio album Revival came out in 2015, and the 26-year-old singer dropped several non-album singles in the meantime. It’s still unclear if any of them are going to make it to her upcoming record, which still doesn’t have a title and release date.
