Selena Gomez in First Interview About Kidney Transplant: “Francia Saved My Life”

Selena Gomez and Francia Raisa spoke to Savannah Gunthrie about the kidney transplant that changed their lives. The interview will air on October 30.

In it, the girls opened up about the experience they recently shared.

“My kidneys were just done,” Selena said while starting to cry. “That was it. I didn’t want to ask a single person in my life, and that was the day I came home and found out. She volunteered and did it.”

When Savannah asked Selena if she feels Francia saved her life, Selena honestly replied, “She did.”

Back in September, the singer opened up about a kidney transplant she got to get because of some complications with lupus, a disease she’s been struggling with for years.
