Shawn Mendes just keeps ‘em coming.
After dropping his first new song in a while, Mendes dropped a second new second in less than 24 hours later.
The two songs differ in style, the first, “In My Blood” a rock-ish number, and the second “Lost in Japan,” a pop-tinged R&B track. The 19-year-old singer took to Instagram on both occasions to announce his new songs, however, while the first single drop was preceded by a long Instagram post thanking fans for their support, the second was simply captioned, Wanted to give you another song. x Go stream & download #LostInJapan.
Fans and critics have already shared their approval of Mendes’ two new singles, and some are even dubbing him the new Justin Timberlake. This is quite a change after being pitched as the new Justin Bieber when he made his debut at 15 in 2014.
There’s no doubt Mendes has come a long way from his Twitter days, transforming into a successful singer, boasting a mainstream career.
