Shawn Mendes has been pretty busy touring, topping the charts and scoring major award nominations last year, but it seems 2020 has a lot in store for him, as well. The Canadian singer is getting ready to get back in the studio and drop his fourth studio album.
Mendes announced the news in one of his Instagram stories, where he took a moment to tell his fans how much he missed them. He also revealed he’s “making another album”, but didn’t go into detail about this highly-anticipated record.
The Canadian superstar dropped his latest album, Shawn Mendes, in 2018 – his third record to top the Billboard 200 chart. He supported its release by embarking on a world tour that consisted of a total of 105 concerts, which concluded on December 21st, 2019 in Mexico City.
This isn’t the only milestone Shawn Mendes completed in 2019. He also dropped two hit songs — “If I Can’t Have You” and Camila Cabello’s “Señorita”, which became his first single to top the Billboard Hot 100 chart. It’s unclear if they’ll be featured on his new album since he already added them to the deluxe edition of his 2018 slbum.
