Martin Short and Catherine O’Hara Join “The Addams Family”

The Addams Family is one of the most anticipated animated films of 2019 – and for a good reason. It boasts one of the most impressive voice casts in recent memory, which just got a little bit better thanks to Martin Short and Catherine O’Hara.

This won’t be the first time for these two to star alongside each other, since they previously voiced characters in Tim Burton’s Frankenweenie. Short claims they asked to record their scenes together this time around, because they’ll be playing husband and wife.

“Catherine is a life-long friend and co-worker so it comes with a very rich short-hand. So there’s an advantage to having us two together in the same room. Often you don’t get to meet the cast members,” explained Short.

The upcoming animated remake of The Addams Family will be led by Charlize Theron and Oscar Isaac, as Morticia and Gomez Addams. Chloë Grace Moretz, Finn Wolfhalrd, Nick Kroll and Bette Middle are in charge of voicing the remaining members of this peculiar family. The film is scheduled to be released on October 11, 2019 – just a couple of weeks before Halloween!
