“Sneaky Pete” Renewed By Amazon For Season 3

Amazon has confirmed a third season of Sneaky Pete.

The news were announced on Saturday by Amazon Studios during the Television Critics Association after the actual order was quietly put in about two months ago. Variety reports that a renewal wasn’t unexpected given that the series would receive a California tax credit upon the production’s relocation from New York to California.

Sneaky Pete stars Giovanni Ribisi, Margo Martindale, Marin Ireland, Peter Gerety, Libe Barer and Shane McRae. It was created by Bryan Cranston and David Shore and is produced by Moonshot Entertainment alongside Amazon Studios and Sony Pictures Television. Blake Masters will join the production as showrunner for the new season.

Ribisi plays the lead character of Marius, a con man who left prison only to find himself hunted by the vicious gangster he once robbed. His solution — take cover from the past by assuming the identity of his cellmate Pete.
