Sophia Lillis Lands Lead Role On Netflix’s “I Am Not Okay With This”

Sophia Lillis got her big break with the role of Beverly Marsh in It, and her career has been blooming ever since. Now, the young actress landed the lead role in Netflix’s newly-announced show I Am Not Okay With This.

This coming-of-age series is based on a graphic novel by Charles Forsman, and it follows the adventures of a teenage girl navigating the trials and tribulations of high school while dealing with mysterious superpowers that are beginning to awaken within her.

Lillis will be in a pretty good company. The supporting cast includes Wyatt Oleff (It), Sofia Bryant (The Good Wife), and Kathleen Rose Perkins (Episodes). Jonathan Entwistle, who previously worked on the TV adaptation of  Forsman’s novel The End of the F***ing World, created this series alongside Christy Hall.

After her breakthrough in It, Sophia Lillis starred in HBO’s critically acclaimed series Sharp Objects and recently appeared in Nancy Drew and the Hidden Staircase. She’s set to star in It Chapter Two later this year, and play one of the titular roles in the upcoming adaptation of Gretel and Hansel.
