The first season of Squid Game took us on one wild, bloody ride, and its second chapter is shaping up to be even more horrifying. Netflix dropped a new trailer ahead of the Season 2 release next month, which sees Player 456 trying to stop the deadly games once and for all, by any means necessary.

Squid Game centers on a group of poverty-stricken people who agree to take part in a series of children’s games for a chance to win a life-changing prize – only to learn they have deadly consequences. After winning the game in Season 1, Seong Gi-hun aka Player 456 decided to make his return, take revenge on the Front Man, and end the games for good.

The trailer for Season 2 sees him stepping back into the arena and fighting for his life with a group of new players. Several games from the first season, such as “Red Light, Green Light” will return in the next chapter, but the trailer also teases the introduction of deadly new games.

Lee Jung-jae returns in the lead role, while the list of supporting players includes Lee Byung-hun, Wi Ha-jun, Gong Yoo, Yim Si-wan, Kang Ha-neul, Park Gyu-young, Lee Jin-uk, Park Sung-hoon, Yang Dong-geun, Kang Ae-sim, Lee David, Choi Seung-hyun, Roh Jae-won, Jo Yu-ri, and Won Ji-an.

Squid Game will return to Netflix for Season 2 on December 26, and it will end its run with the final third season set to premiere sometime next year.
