If you’re a hard-core Trekkie who loved watching Michelle Yeoh in Star Trek: Discovery, we’ve got some great news for you. Yeoh will be playing Captain Philippa Georgiou in a brand-new spinoff series developed around her character.
Rumors of her involvement in this project have been circling around for months, but things are finally official. We’re super excited to see Yeoh explore the next chapter in the life of Captain Georgiou – and so is she.
“Being a part of this Universe and this character specifically has been such a joy for me to play. I can’t wait to see where it all goes – certainly I believe it will go where no WOMAN has ever gone before!” said the actress.
Stand-alone series starring Michelle Yeoh isn’t the only character driven Star Trek spinoff being developed by CBS All Access. They’re also working on Jean-Luc Picard series with Patrick Stewart in the lead.
