The first teaser for Star Wars: Episode IX is finally here, and it promises an epic conclusion to the Jedi saga we all know and love. In addition to giving us a glimpse of adventures yet to come, this amazing trailer also reveals the title of the highly-anticipated movie – “The Rise of Skywalker.”
The trailer opens with Ray breathing heavily and preparing for what seems like an important battle. In the background, we can hear Luke Skywalker’s voice saying, “We’ve passed on all we know. A thousand generations live in you now… but this is your fight.”
The first teaser also gives us a glimpse at some of our favorite characters, including Lando Calrissian, Chewbacca, and Princess Leia. It closes with the evil laugh of Emperor Palpatine, which comes shortly after Luke assures Ray no one is ever really gone.
This epic teaser left us with more questions than answers, and we can’t wait to see how this saga concludes on December 20, when Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker finally hits theaters.
