NBC is currently plotting the long-awaited Suits spin-off, and they found a perfect man to lead it. Arrow star Stephen Amell will play the main role in Suits L.A., which follows a new group of attorneys navigating the cutthroat legal world of Los Angeles.

Amell will portray Ted Black, who left his life as a New York federal prosecutor behind to represent the most powerful clients in Los Angeles. He joined forces with his old buddy, Stuart Lane, to build a law firm that specializes in criminal and entertainment law in Los Angeles, but this series kicks off 15 years later, during a crisis point for their company.

Casting for supporting players is underway, but Ted Black will be “surrounded by a group of characters who test their loyalties to both Ted and each other while they can’t help but mix their personal and professional lives”, according to the show’s official logline.

NBC started plotting a potential spin-off set in the Suits universe after the original series experienced a true boom on streaming services last year. Aaron Korsh, creator and writer of the original series, is coming back as the executive producer of this spin-off, while Victoria Mahoney has been tapped to direct and executive produce the pilot.
