Steve Carell has been cast as morning show anchor Mitch Kessler, who’ struggling to stay relevant in a changing media landscape. The names of the female characters played by Witherspoon and Aniston are yet to be released.
Two-time Emmy winner Mimi Leder will be in charge of directing this intriguing project. Her previous credits include ER, Shameless, The Leftovers and the upcoming Ruth Bader Ginsburg biopic On the Basis of Sex.
