Steven Spielberg is penning a night-time horror show.
Multiple outlets report that the acclaimed director is writing a horror series for Quibi (Quite Bites streaming service) only that will be available for viewing only when it’s dark.
Quibi founder Jeffrey Katzenberg tells Variety, “Steven Spielberg came in, and said, ‘I have a super scary story I want to do. He’s writing it himself. He hasn’t [written anything in a while] so getting him to write something is fantastic.”
According to Katzenberg Spielberg has already penned “five or six episodes of a 10 or 12 chapter story.” The twist, however, is that the episodes will only be viewable after midnight. An in-app clock will count down until the sun goes down, giving viewers a limited window to watch the series each night.
