“Succession” is Getting Another Season at HBO

Succession gave us another TV family that everyone loves to hate with media mogul Logan Roy and his privileged children – and their misadventures are far from over. HBO is bringing back this critically acclaimed drama for another season.

Executive vice president of HBO Drama Programming, Francesca Orsi, shared the amazing news with the public and stressed how important this show is in today’s social climate.

“We are elated that Succession and its exploration of wealth, power and family have resonated so powerfully with audiences. We cannot wait to see how the complex characters that Jesse Armstrong has created continue to navigate this captivating, ruthless world of the uber-rich,” said Orsi in a press release.

This critical darling tells the story of a wealthy family trying to keep control of their global media empire. Its brilliant ensemble cast includes Brian Cox, Kieran Culkin, Jeremy Strong, and Sarah Snook.

Succession premiered on HBO in 2018, and its first season received a total of five Emmy nominations – including a nod in the best drama category. The second season is currently on air, and the first episode premiered on August 11th.
