Super-Sized Lana Del Rey Takes Over LA in video for “Doin’ Time”

Lana Del Rey took the phrase “go big or go home” quite literally in her music video for “Doin’ Time” and gave us one of her most epic videos.

The “Summertime Sadness” singer used the video for her cover of Sublime’s classic tune to pay homage to 1958’s cult classic Attack of the 50 Foot Woman. Just like the titular character from this movie, Lana Del Rey appears larger than life before our eyes, while wandering the streets of her hometown.

“Doin’ Time” is one of the singles from her latest album Norman F—ing Rockwell, which came out on August 30th to rave reviews. Del Rey wrote most of the songs on this album alongside Bleachers frontman Jack Antonoff, and previously teased it with singles “Mariners Apartment Complex” and “Venice Bitch”.

It’s only been a couple of days since this record came out, but she’s ready for more. While discussing her future prospect with The Times, Del Rey revealed she’s already written the parts of her next album White Hot Forever, and said she’s considering a surprise release some time next year.
