A Sweet and Savory Visit for Prince William and Kate Middleton in Germany

The royal family arrived in Germany on Wednesday after their two day visit to Poland, where Prince George and Princess Charlotte stole the show.

The Royals’ first stop on Thursday morning was the German Cancer Research Institute in Heidelberg. Before putting on white lab coats, Kate looked stunningly elegant in a yellow Jenny Peckham dress. The Duchess completed the look with Monsoon Fleur espadrilles and an Alexander McQueen bag.

After touring the lab, Kate and William continued their visit to the local traditional market. Kate traded in the lab coat for an apron, taking a lesson from local apprentice Andreas Goebes who taught the two the art of pretzel making. The crowd applauded as William stepped in to help Kate with twisting the dough and assembling the pretzel loop. Next they attempted sweets making and even tasted some local beer.

Later on, William and Kate went head to head in a boat race, where they were both charged of steering their respective boats. While Kate spent time taking tips on how to coax the boat, the competition ended with a victorious Prince William.
