Anyone But You is one of the most exciting new rom-coms coming our way this year, and the first full trailer just turned up the heat! Sydney Sweeney and Glen Powell play two people faking a romance after being unexpectedly thrust together during a destination wedding in Australia.
This edgy rom-com centers on Bea and Ben, who look like the perfect couple until you scratch beneath the surface, and here’s what Anyone But You has in store for them, according to its official synopsis:
“After an amazing first date something happens that turns their fiery hot attraction ice cold – until they find themselves unexpectedly thrust together at a destination wedding in Australia. So they do what any two mature adults would do: pretend to be a couple.”
In addition to Sweeney and Powell in the lead roles, this film will also star Alexandra Shipp (Tick, Tick… Boom!), GaTa (Dave), Hadley Robinson (Utopia), Michelle Hurd (Star Trek: Picard), Dermot Mulroney (My Best Friend’s Wedding), Darren Barnet (Never Have I Ever), and Rachel Griffiths (Hilary and Jackie). Will Gluck directed the film from the script he co-wrote with Ilana Wolpert.
Anyone but You will be released by Sony Pictures just in time for Christmas, on December 22.
