Syfy has opted to ax both Happy and Deadly Class.
Multiple outlets confirm that NBCUniversal-owned cable network has canceled dramas Happy, after two seasons, and Deadly Class, after one. According to The Hollywood Reporter, both dramas will be shopped by Universal Content Productions and Sony TV, respectively.
Deadly Class followed an orphan who becomes a student assassin at King’s Dominion High School for the Deadly Arts. It starred Lana Condor, Benjamin Wadsworth and Benedict Wong.
Happy starred Christopher Meloni and Patton Oswalt. It revolved around a corrupt ex-cop-turned-hit man named Nick Sax and a tiny blue unicorn named Happy.
The two dramas join other recent cancellations at Syfy including Nightflyers, Channel Zero, and Killjoys.
