]]>Ferrari takes us back to the summer of 1957, one of the most troubled periods of Enzo Ferrari’s life. His marriage with his wife Laura is more volatile than ever following the loss of their son Dino, but they’re also dealing with the potential bankruptcy of a factory they built from the ground up ten years ago.
Ferrari will also take us in the heart of the Formula 1 action, and see Ferrari’s drivers being pushed to the edge as they launch into the treacherous 1,000-mile race across Italy, the Mille Miglia.
Adam Driver leads a star-studded cast, which also includes Penélope Cruz, Shailene Woodley, Sarah Gordon, Gabriel Leone, Jack O’Connell, and Patrick Dempsey. Michael Mann was in charge of directing this high-profile biopic, based on Brock Yates’ book Enzo Ferrari: The Man and the Machine.
Ferrari will be one of the films competing for the Golden Lion at this year’s Venice International Film Festival, but the general public won’t get to see it in the theaters until December 25.
