]]>According to Pixar’s logline, Inside Out 2 will take us back “to the mind of newly minted teenager Riley just as headquarters is undergoing a sudden demolition to make room for something entirely unexpected: new emotions.”
The first film introduced us to Amy Poehler as Joy, Phyllis Smith as Sadness, Lewis Black as Anger, Bill Hader as Fear (who’ll be replaced by Tony Hale), and Liza Lapira as Disgust, but they’ll be joined by some newcomers to this universe. Maya Hawke was previously added to the voice cast as Anxiety, and she’s not alone!
Some of the new voices introduced in the trailer are Ayo Edebiri as Envy, perpetually jealous of everything everyone else has, Adèle Exarchopoulos as bored and lethargic Ennui who couldn’t care less, and Paul Walter Hauser as Embarrassment, who’d rather lay low and pretend he doesn’t exist.
Inside Out 2 voice cast will also include Kensington Tallman as Riley Andersen, Diane Lane and Kyle MacLachlan as her parents, Sumayyah Nuriddin-Green and Grace Lu as her best friends, and Lilimar Hernandez as a popular hockey player Valentina “Val” Ortiz.
Inside Out 2 will be released by Walt Disney Studios on June 14.
