]]>All Quiet tied the record held by Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon to become the most-nominated non-English language film in the ceremony’s history with 14 nods. It was in the running for the best film award, and it managed to beat the likes of The Banshees of Inisherin, Elvis, Everything Everywhere All at Once, and Tár to win it.
In addition to picking up the night’s biggest award, All Quiet came out victorious in six more categories: best director, best adapted screenplay, best cinematography, best original score, best sound, and best film not in the English language.
It was also a huge night for Martin McDonagh, who won the award for the outstanding British film with The Banshees of Inisherin. This film was one of two, in addition to Elvis, to win four accolades at this year’s BAFTAs, including acting awards for its supporting stars Barry Keoghan and Kerry Condon.
