CBS has renewed Mom for two more seasons, which means that the Chuck Lorre-created comedy will run through at least Season Eight.
“We’re exceptionally proud to have Mom on our air; a high-quality, signature comedy with characters viewers love, that also brings strength and stability to our lineup,” said Kelly Kahl, president of CBS Entertainment, in a statement. “Under Chuck Lorre’s extraordinary leadership and with his outstanding writing and production team, we look forward to having Mom on CBS for many years to come.”
Deadline reports that the series’ stars, Anna Faris and Allison Janney, have both inked new two-year contracts with Warner Bros. The two star as daughter/mother duo Christy and Bonnie Plunkett, who, after having been estranged for years, attempt to pull their lives and their relationship together. The series also stars Mimi Kennedy, Jaime Pressly, Beth Hall and William Fichtner.
“We’re fortunate to have the gifted talents of Anna and Allison, with their wit, intelligence and incomparable comic skill, heading up such a brilliant cast on this noteworthy series,” added Thom Sherman, senior EVP of programming at CBS Entertainment.
Mom airs Thursdays on CBS.
This time it was actress Anna Faris who officiated her friend’s wedding. It’s not surprising that Faris was chosen to play such an important role in the wedding as it was her Unqualified podcast co-host Sim Sarna who got married.
The wedding took place recently in a beautiful outdoor location at the Thomas George Estates in Healdsburg, California.
Faris took to social media Friday to congratulate the newlyweds and share beautiful snaps form the special day. Faris captioned a series of pics of the couple with “Congrats Sim & Amy!!!!!” In one of the pics of the couple with Faris in the background Faris is wearing a pale pink coat, dress and quite unexpectedly a pair of Ugg boots!
Congratulations to the happy couple!
]]>The two met on the set of Take Me Home Tonight in 2007. Anna was then married to Ben Indra, but they soon separated and Faris and Pratt started dating. In 2008 Pratt proposed to Faris and the two actor duo tied the knot in Bali on July 9. In August 2012 they welcomeג their son Jack Pratt to the family.
The two have been forthcoming with the media sharing how deep their love is to one another. In a 2015 Reddit AMA Chris said that “Anna and [him] are meant to be together,” and that [their] relationship has made [him] believe in divine intervention and destiny….”
Faris has been vocal about the difficulties she was experiencing due to the media picking apart her relationship. She told PEOPLE earlier this month saying that it can get real tricky being a celebrity couple. This Sunday Anna tweeted: “We are sad to announce we are legally separating. We tried hard for a long time, and we’re really disappointed. Our son has two parents who love him very much and for his sake we want to keep this situation as private as possible moving forward. We still have love for each other, will always cherish our time together and continue to have the deepest respect for one another.”
